Herringbone bedside table

These are custom made bedside tables. They were inspired by mid-century design with a twist, it does this by using simple lines, minimal ornamentation and the use of honest materials to create a natural, simple feel that connects it to its surrounding.

The Unit features one draw at the top and one shelf at the bottom. The piece is completely made using messmate which is an Australian hardwood that is very sustainable while having great characteristics, it ha a light golden color, brown gum veins, prominent straight grain and is a hard timber so will resist scratches and dents well.

The herringbone draw front was created by laying strips of Messmate at a 45 degree angle this exposes different grain variation giving it a unique look and feel.

The bedside tables are structural sound and well made so it should last many decades.

Finish: Oil based polyurethane, Clear Satin
