Shoji lamp
Japanese Shoji/Kumiko Style Lamp made from Oak or Walnut timber.
Shoji is generally used as a translucent screen consisting of a wooden frame covered in rice paper, or as a sliding door or partition in a Japanese home.
Kumiko is a woodworking and design technique generally based on shapes found in nature. Kumiko is made from many narrow strips of wood all hand fitted into patterns.
Each piece is cut and beveled to the proper length and angle and then each piece is hand fitted and glued in its panel.
The panel is backed with a Japanese translucent paper and the panels are then assembled.
The lamp comes with a light pendant cord compatible with an e27 screw bulb. No bulb included.
Grain and color may vary as its made from solid hardwood.
